We are a shared-responsibility education provider for homeschooling families. We are committed to serving parents who wish to remain in control of their child’s education, while accessing a quality, classroom-based curriculum.

You can follow this link for the most up to date information and to register. Families are required to file their Letter of Intent between June and August for the coming school year.

Boys and girls can wear solid colored t-shirts, oxford/button down shirts (short or long sleeved) or polos (collared knit shirts). Clothing with distracting logos or inappropriate messaging may not be worn. Lower body clothing should be navy or khaki pants or shorts. Straight or boot-cut denim pants, provided they are clean and have no tears or ripped areas, are also acceptable. Boys’ shorts should be no higher than the top of the knee when standing. Girls may also wear jumpers, dresses, skorts or skirts. The length should be no higher than the tips of fingers when standing with arms extended downward. Jumpers should be worn with a blouse underneath.

We will work together with parents to establish whether we can provide the services a student may need.  We are currently evaluating the level of support we can provide. Our desire to maintain a strong relationship with parents requires that each situation be evaluated individually.

Christian parents that are seeking a Christ-centered learning program, have affirmed their agreement with our non-denominational Statement of Faith, and faithfully attend their church are welcome to apply.  Our biblical teaching and curriculum focuses on those tenets of our faith upon which all of us as Christians would agree.

We use resources from UFLI and Abeka and Apologia Ministry Partners. This curriculum is designed to be practical and robust, meeting the academic needs of students and assuring Christ is present in every lesson.

SCS practices a balanced teaching approach embracing both contemporary and classic education strategies. The psalmist in Psalm 119:66 writes, “Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.” We believe education is a continuous process throughout one’s life that fosters our desire to learn the truths of our shared past but also explores and illuminates truths we have yet to discover in God’s creation. The ability to explore, observe, record, analyze, develop a plan, engage and then review is an avenue to our personal relationship to our risen Savior, and should be treated with the reverence it is due. We teach the children using proven techniques that encourage them to explore, define, communicate, create, and love God with all their heart, mind and strength.

Arkansas law requires all students attending Arkansas schools and licensed childcare facilities to be vaccinated against certain diseases, unless an official exemption form is filed. *Ark.
